STORY

Version 1

Al oeste, el sol se hunde en el Pacífico y el viento trae olor a mar. En aldeas de Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit y Michoacán, las manos amasan barro Capacha: formas especiales, de las primeras de esa costa y esos valles. El barro espera el horno de la mañana; alguien alisa el borde de una vasija mientras los niños miran el resplandor del atardecer sobre el agua.

En El Opeño, Michoacán, bajo la tierra hay tumbas tempranas con varios enterramientos: arquitectura funeraria antigua donde la memoria de los muertos se guarda cerca de la casa. Un niño deja una ofrenda sencilla junto a la tumba; el barro guarda el gesto y el silencio. Estas gentes cultivan y fabrican; no esperan vacías una época lejana de tumbas de tiro y figurillas que florecerá siglos después. Por ahora basta el fogón, el maíz y el respeto cotidiano.

Hubo contactos de estilo con el centro de México, sin ser la misma cultura. Al amanecer, los cerros verdes se iluminan; al anochecer, las aldeas encienden fogones y el humo sube despacio. El Occidente ya habla con barro, maíz y recuerdo. Alguien sopla el polvo de la vasija recién cocida; el Pacífico late al fondo, y el olor a cocina se mezcla con la brisa salada que llega desde la costa.
